Welcome to the Privly Community!

on Fri, 04/27/2012 - 18:09

Update July 6 2012: We're going to have 3 Google Group mailing lists. We're abandoning Mailman for the time being. The "Team Center" will still be stopped. Instead we will contact each other using the Privly developer mailing list - email address TBD.

Update June 26 2012: Since Google Group has transformed to be a forum solution, and because we're working on a Mailman solution, we will no longer be using this site for a forum. We will discontinue "Team Center" as well, to make communicate easier across individuals. Please continue to keep your People Page updated.

By popular request, we’re going to move some of our communication off of the google group mailing list. The google groups will be for mass notifications. The forum (http://privly.org/forums/general-discussion) will be for conversations about active work and development. Be sure to subscribe to forum threads that relate to your interests! To subscribe to a forum thread, you must leave a comment on that thread and check the boxes to allow our site to send you emails. If you have any problems subscribing, let me know!

We’ll have a different forum topic for every Privly Team to get our Privly Family started. If you are interested in contibuting to a particular team, be sure to subscribe to the relevant forum thread.

The Privly Teams we have drafted so far are:

We have a couple introductory forum threads as well:

If you’re interested in being on one of the teams, introduce yourself in the Introductions thread! The highest priority teams right now are Documentation and Organization Development. As we ramp up, we want to make sure Privly is well-documented and that we’re covering our bases according to the law.

For more information about our teams, please see http://privly.org/content/privly-teams.

Welcome to the community and let’s start foruming!

Your community manager,

Jen

You go into the official thread for the particular team, check the notify/all coments boxes, then leave a comment saying something like "subscribe," or introducing yourself.

I see, so there's no other way than to leave a comment. Thanks for the explanation Sean :).
